From Tuglas’ Toledo to Toledo Publishing
An evening of literature and wandering in the Museum of the Literature Centre
On February 13, 2025 at 18.00, Toledo Publishing editor-in-chief, translator and translation historian Mari Laan, who recently defended her doctoral degree, will give a presentation on the first journeys of Estonian writers to Spain and the journey of Spanish literature to the Estonian language. Toledo Publishing introduces Estonian readers to literature written in Spanish, which was also of interest to Friedebert Tuglas, who traveled to Spain as a refugee in 1913. The evening is part of the Under and Tuglas Literature Center’s museum series, which talks about travelling and literature.
