On Saturday, 18 May, the Museum of the Under and Tuglas Literature Centre of the Estonian Academy of Sciences invites you over to discover the freedom of wandering in its multiple facets.

 

The program of the Museum Night

  • 18.00 Estonian Ornithological Society’s workshop for children (ages 5–12) on the bird of the year, cuckoo.
    • 20.00 Literary and musical program Käol ole ole käppi (The cuckoo does not have paws).

The poet Veronika Kivisilla and the literary scholar Elle-Mari Talivee talk about this migratory bird, Helen Põldmäe plays cuckoo’s music.

    • 21.00 Opening of the exhibition Freedom on Freedom Alley with a house tour.

The exhibition that runs through the house tells about the departure to Sweden of Marie Under and Artur Adson from the Soviet occupation and the arrival of Tuglases in Nõmme.

The traditional museum cafe is open, this time inspired by Friedebert Tuglas’ travels in Spain. Spanish-style tapas and snacks are served. The guests will be taken on a culinary journey from Donostia-San Sebastián to Andalucía in the footsteps of Tuglas with stopovers in Madrid and ​​the capital of Catalunya, Barcelona.
The museum shop also awaits guests.
