New finds in Estonian literary history – four unknown poems from the 17th century

In the October issue of Keel ja Kirjandus, Kristi Viiding, a senior researcher at the Literature Centre and Jaak Urmet, a writer and literary researcher, published an article titled Täiendust XVII sajandi Eesti luulele (Newly Discovered Samples of 17th Century Estonian Poetry). It introduces four unknown texts important for the development of Estica and Estonian poetry. You can find the English resume HERE.
A thorough search in the digital archives of Germany, Poland, Latvia, Finland, Sweden and Denmark added two Estonian poems from 1654 and 1682 to the Estonian literary history. There was also a 1632 poem from Brockmann and a German sonnet from 1654
