Maarja Kangro, the chair of the Estonian Writers’ Union, opened the poetry bench of the Polish Herbarium at the summer seminar of the Under and Tuglas Literature Centre on 8 June 2024.

The poem Two People by the Polish symbolist poet Bolesław Leśmian (1877–1937), translated by Leelo Tungal as “Kaks inimlast”, speaks of the whispers of love under blooming maples and highlights the beauty of the Under and Tuglas’ Museum garden in spring and summer. The poetry bench was handed over to the Museum of the Literature Centre by the Cultural Diplomat Slawomira Borowska-Peterson from the Polish Embassy.
